Randa's Rant

First Rant Ever on a Blog so here we go:

Does anyone else feel like a visitor from another planet?  When I was on a debate team we had to study how to debate and back up our arguments with facts.  What is going on in these campaign debates?  The candidates must know the actual areas that will be in question: the economy, unemployment, medical insurance coverage, recent problems in the midde east, leaving afghanistan, the declining middle class, etc.  Why doesn't someone present the actual facts instead of blaming a previous administration or the current one?  Why doesn't each side just lay down their five point or three point or ten point plans and discuss how it will benefit the american people, etc. and remedy current problems or deficits? It is a waste of taxpayers time and money to air these bogus debates.  Each candidate should carry with them an index box of cards with their arguing facts and when asked a question or challenged from an opponent put out the index card and state :"according to ... xyz... the facts are ... or the statistics are"... period... Rather than stating rumours or what is commonly understood by either party quote the facts... am I insane or what?
